Sales Executive
Job Description
Our client, a growing producer of premium artisanal food products, handcrafted jewellery, and tourism-focused gift items, is seeking to hire an experienced Sales Executive to drive business growth across hospitality, tourism, retail, and corporate channels throughout Kenya. The role involves developing and executing route-to-market strategies, building strong relationships with hospitality and retail buyers, securing product placement across key accounts, and expanding distribution networks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in related sectors, with demonstrated success in opening new markets and exceeding sales targets. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue across hospitality, retail, tourism, and corporate channels. - Identify, prospect, and onboard new customers across key segments including hotels, lodges, resorts, supermarkets, gourmet retailers, distributors, curio shops, jewellery retailers, gift shops, and corporate clients. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers such as hotel managers, procurement teams, chefs, retail buyers, and distributors. - Secure product listings, negotiate supply agreements, and grow long-term accounts across all customer segments. - Develop and implement territory and route-to-market plans to expand coverage across key regions and tourism areas. - Conduct regular field visits for meetings, product presentations, sampling, and in-store or in-lodge support. - Ensure strong account performance by monitoring stock levels, product placement, sales movement, and merchandising standards. - Manage distributor relationships to ensure proper coverage, pricing consistency, and reliable product availability. - Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, forecasts, and market feedback, and support promotions, seasonal campaigns, and corporate gifting activities in coordination with operations and logistics teams.
Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. • Experience in related industries. • Experience managing key accounts, distributors, and clients. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to travel extensively across Kenya as required. • Existing relationships within hospitality, retail, tourism, jewellery, or distribution networks will be a significant advantage.
