Supply & Logistics Officer
Job Description
The Supply and Logistics Officer reports to the Head of Operations or Supply and Logistics Manager/Specialist, providing technical and operational support tailored to the Country Office (CO) setup. The incumbent is responsible for managing the supply chains of a small-sized country office or elements of larger supply operations, including planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, in-country transport, and distribution. Additionally, the role involves monitoring supplies, services, and construction works, collaborating with program teams to define supply interventions that meet programmatic needs, and delivering results for children. The officer also provides technical and advisory support to governments, national systems, and partners on supply chain management, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s mission to promote the rights of every child.
Requirements
Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health, or a related social science field; At least 2 years of relevant work experience at the national and international levels in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, administration, or other directly-related technical fields; Understanding of development and humanitarian work; Experience in managing supply chains, procurement processes, and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
