Academic Registrar

The position of Academic Registrar at University of Kigali, located in Kigali, Rwanda, offers an opportunity for qualified professionals to contribute their knowledge and experience in a dynamic working environment. The Academic Registrar is a senior higher education executive responsible for managing the institution's academic administration, including student records, course enrollment, graduation processes, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the accuracy of degrees and upholds the university's academic policies, acting as the secretary for university academic boards. The position involves collaborating with faculty and deans to continually update and enforce academic regulations, evaluating students' fulfillment of degree requirements, and overseeing graduation clearance. The Academic Registrar also safeguards the integrity, confidentiality, and security of student academic records and data systems, manages the course registration process, class schedules, and room allocations.

Master’s degree in Education Administration, Higher Education Management, or a related field; Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree is heavily preferred; extensive leadership experience (5 to 10+ years) in higher education administration, enrollment management, or academic affairs; knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; strong administrative skills including oversight of student records, student information systems, academic schedules, and data security; attention to detail and professional standards.
