HR Assistant Volunteer

The HR Assistant Volunteer will provide guidance and on-the-job training to support staff development and increase their knowledge of HR systems and procedures. The role involves liaising with internal units/offices on HR-related matters such as payroll, contracts, and entitlements to ensure timely HR services. Responsibilities include extracting and compiling HR data on staff recruitment, selection, contractual conditions, performance, and training requirements to support analysis and reporting needs. The volunteer will draft various HR documentation, including employment contracts, transfer letters, and training-related documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Additionally, the role requires using HR management systems to enter and update HR data, monitor deadlines (e.g., contract expiration, PACE), and ensure compliance with established timelines and data accuracy. The position contributes to the effective functioning of a client-focused and strategy-oriented HR department within WFP.

Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; 3-5 years of relevant HR experience; strong collaboration, communication, and computer skills; familiarity with HR management systems; ability to work in a multicultural and inclusive environment; commitment to WFP's values (Integrity, Collaboration, Commitment, Humanity, and Inclusion); proficiency in English (additional UN languages are an advantage); adherence to WFP's policies on diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination.
