People and Culture Associate, Emergency Unit

Job Description

The People & Culture (P&C) Associate supports the effective delivery of core workforce processes, data management, and coordination of P&C activities within the Global Emergency Unit (EmU), with a particular focus on the Global Surge Team (GST). This role plays an important part in ensuring that employee data, systems, and processes are accurate, up to date, and well-coordinated to support operations in a dynamic context. The position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented approach, strong learning agility, and the ability to manage information with high accuracy. The Associate will work closely with colleagues across P&C, Finance, and EmU’s Deployment Team, supporting day-to-day operations while identifying and resolving process or data issues. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, learning agility, and the ability to think across systems, understanding how data, processes, and teams connect. The role offers an opportunity to build experience in emergency P&C operations, systems, and data in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail; learning agility; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday); ability to conduct data quality checks and identify discrepancies; experience in coordinating administrative tasks; familiarity with P&C processes and policies; ability to track timelines, maintain documentation, and provide communication support; basic understanding of workforce reporting (e.g., attrition, training completion); ability to support process improvements; experience with data entry and maintenance; ability to escalate issues to senior team members; familiarity with Kaya training platform; ability to support staff engagement and recognition initiatives.
