Rwanda Scale Innovations Intern

As a member of the Scale Innovations Team, you will provide vital support by driving innovation and scaling new solutions for smallholder farmers. This high-impact internship involves owning a product trial from design to evaluation while collaborating with Project Specialists across diverse initiatives. Responsibilities include supporting trial implementation and field operations, coordinating with field teams and farmers, tracking performance indicators, collecting and analyzing data, preparing training materials, and maintaining accurate trial documentation. The role offers hands-on experience in agricultural research, product innovation, and field operations, with opportunities for career growth through mentorship, training, and regular feedback. Interns will participate in an onboarding program and receive substantive work assignments that support One Acre Fund’s mission of equipping 5.5 million smallholder farmers.

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, or a related field; basic understanding of crop production, livestock production, or agricultural extension practices; strong interest in agricultural innovation, research, and farmer-focused development programs; attention to detail for data recording, tracking activities, and preparing reports; basic proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and digital data collection tools; willingness to travel frequently and work in rural field environments; proficiency in both Kinyarwanda and English; eligibility restricted to citizens or permanent residents of Rwanda.
