Mobilisation Lead (Volunteer)

Job Description

The Mobilisation Lead works collaboratively with youth-led organizations across different regions to support advocacy campaigns and initiatives, amplifying their impact and connecting them with decision-makers. The role involves close collaboration with MYCP Regional Representatives to strengthen regional networks, coordinate collective action, and elevate youth-led voices to influence migration policy and practice. Responsibilities include facilitating connections between youth organizations and MYCP's thematic and advocacy structures (#THINK and #DELIVER), supporting youth-led organizations in planning and implementing advocacy campaigns, and collaborating with the Capacity Building Focal Point to align outreach efforts. The role also involves identifying opportunities for joint campaigns, solidarity actions, and collective mobilization on migration issues, ensuring regional campaigns align with MYCP's global priorities and advocacy strategies. Additionally, the Mobilisation Lead supports capacity-building initiatives to strengthen campaigning and advocacy skills among member organizations and promotes youth-led initiatives through MYCP communications and visibility activities.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: - Aged 18–30 years. - Experience in youth engagement, advocacy, or grassroots mobilization, preferably within youth-led organizations or civil society. - Understanding of migration issues, preferably through lived experience. - Excellent organizational, facilitation, and communication skills. - Strong command of English; proficiency in one or more additional UN languages is an added advantage. - Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds.
