Communication Intern

This internship assignment offers a unique opportunity for a national of South Sudan to gain hands-on experience in communication within a leading United Nations agency. The intern will support the development and implementation of communication strategies, including drafting content for various media platforms such as social media, press releases, and internal communications. The role involves collaborating with the communication team to enhance UNICEF’s visibility and advocacy efforts in South Sudan, particularly focusing on child rights and humanitarian issues. The intern will also assist in organizing events, preparing reports, and conducting research to support communication campaigns. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about communication, public relations, and international development, seeking to contribute to meaningful projects that impact children and communities in South Sudan.

Nationality: Open only to nationals of South Sudan; Education: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in communication, journalism, public relations, international relations, or a related field; Experience: Prior experience in communication, media, or advocacy through internships, volunteer work, or academic projects is highly desirable; Skills: Strong writing and editing skills in English; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems; Personal Qualities: Demonstrated interest in child rights, humanitarian issues, or international development; ability to work in a multicultural team; commitment to UNICEF’s values and principles.
