Lifeguard

The Lifeguard at Jaffery Academy is responsible for ensuring the safety of students, staff, and visitors within the school's aquatic facilities. Primary duties include monitoring swimming pools and water-based activities to prevent accidents, conducting regular safety inspections of pool areas, and responding immediately to emergencies with appropriate rescue and first aid measures. The role requires maintaining clear communication with school administration and staff to report hazards or incidents, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with national and international lifeguarding standards. Additionally, the lifeguard will educate students and staff on water safety practices and participate in emergency drills to enhance preparedness. Experience in a school or educational environment is highly advantageous, as it allows for better integration with the school's safety culture and student needs.

Valid Pool / Lifeguard Certification Valid First Aid Certification Knowledge of Child Safeguarding principles and practices 2–3 years of proven experience as a lifeguard Strong swimming, rescue, and emergency response skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations Experience working in a school environment will be an added advantage.
