Rwanda Seed Inspection and Sampling Senior Supervisor

This role is responsible for overseeing seed inspection and sampling processes to ensure compliant and high-quality seed production. Key responsibilities include conducting seed inspections and field/storage sampling, authorizing or rejecting seed lots based on inspection findings, handling sample documentation, and recommending corrective actions to production teams. The Senior Supervisor will collaborate closely with field and laboratory teams to maintain quality standards, escalate critical quality issues, and propose improvements in inspection and sampling processes. Additionally, the role involves supporting quality assurance activities and ensuring adherence to seed certification systems.

1+ year of inspection and sampling experience or in a related field; strong stakeholder management skills; basic agronomic knowledge of different crop seeds; knowledge of seed inspection and sampling procedures; understanding of seed certification systems; ability to maintain accurate records and documentation; basic knowledge of G-suite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.); Bachelor’s degree in Seed Science, Agriculture, Agroforestry, or related fields; fluency in English and Kinyarwanda
