Addis Ababa University Job Vacancy – Data Manager 2026

The Data Manager will coordinate and manage cardiovascular research data within the Cardiovascular Research Hub (CV Hub) at Addis Ababa University. The role involves developing and maintaining databases, designing and managing electronic data collection systems (e.g., REDCap), performing routine data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance, and ensuring the confidentiality and security of research data. The Data Manager will prepare periodic reports and datasets for statistical analysis, support investigators and research teams with data management activities, train and provide technical support to data collectors and staff, and maintain documentation, codebooks, and SOPs. The position requires working independently and within a multidisciplinary team to advance cardiovascular health research in Ethiopia.

MPH with Bachelor’s in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, or related field; At least 6 months of experience in cardiovascular research data management or health programs; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Knowledge of STATA, SPSS, or R is desirable; Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
