Senior Supply Chain Coordinator

The Senior Supply Chain Coordinator will ensure an effective and accountable Supply Chain support system is in place in alignment with Save the Children’s global policies and SC-Ethiopia’s national procedures. The role is responsible for the overall management and implementation of procurement, fleet, administration, warehousing, construction, and asset management practices within the North Area Office (Dessie) covering Amhara, Tigray, and Afar regional states. Key responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of Supply Chain plans, managing and supporting Supply Chain staff, providing strategic advice to senior management, and ensuring compliance with donor rules and SCI policies. The Coordinator will oversee procurement processes, tender management, budgeting, and operational planning, while maintaining systems such as ProSave, ProFleet (GlideGO), TIM, eAsset, and eWaiver. Additionally, the role involves preparing monthly Supply Chain reports, conducting market assessments, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The position requires close collaboration with the Country Supply Chain Head/Director, functional managers, and program/project heads to maintain efficient and effective program delivery. The role holder will also manage and motivate fleet, warehouse, procurement, and staff teams, ensuring clear work plans, regular supervision, and capacity-building through training and performance management frameworks.

MA/BA Degree or equivalent in Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or engineering fields; Substantial experience in Supply Chain including procurement, supply chain, fleet management, and inventory; Skills in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management; Experience in managing procurement processes, tender management, and operational planning; Knowledge of donor rules for procurement, warehousing, asset, construction, and inventory management; Experience with Supply Chain systems such as ProSave, ProFleet (GlideGO), TIM, eAsset, and eWaiver; Ability to lead and manage teams, including performance management and training; Understanding of SCI Fraud, Bribery, and Corruption policy and code of conduct; Experience in producing quality Supply Chain plans and managing team structures.
