Grants to Promote Gender Equality and Social Justice in South Sudan

UN Women is inviting eligible organizations to submit proposals for grants aimed at promoting gender equality and social justice in South Sudan. The initiative focuses on strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of Gender, Child, and Social Welfare (MGCSW) through a comprehensive human resource audit, workforce management processes review, and business process optimization. Key activities include reviewing and revising the South Sudan Gender Policy and action plan to align with the National Development Plan, updating standard operating procedures for GBV prevention, protection, and response, and developing strategic plans for the Ministry across all 10 states. Additionally, the project aims to create costed institutional capacity development plans to address identified gaps in human resources and operational processes.

Eligible organizations must provide evidence of local partnerships; consortiums must have a lead organization with over 7 years of relevant experience; joint proposals must clearly indicate lead responsibility for project management and contractual obligations. Proposals should include a concise document describing the organization’s portfolio and experience, examples of relevant projects, CVs of experts highlighting previous experience, reports or papers illustrating competencies, and a proposed budget and workplan for all tasks and cost drivers. Mandatory annexes must be included.
