Roster Paralegals and Eviction Taskforce in Adado
Job Description
Paralegals, engaged as casual staff, will work closely with the NRC ICLA (Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance) team and relevant government institutions to provide community-based legal assistance, information, counselling, and referral services to displaced and vulnerable populations. The role involves supporting case identification, legal awareness raising, dispute resolution follow-up, documentation support, and referrals related to Housing, Land and Property (HLP), civil documentation, and protection concerns. Through regular community outreach and engagement, Paralegals will help improve access to justice and legal services while strengthening coordination between affected communities, service providers, and local authorities. They will also support case management, data collection, and reporting to facilitate timely and informed interventions by NRC.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in law or related field; minimum 2 years of experience in legal support, human rights, or humanitarian law; strong communication, advocacy, and case management skills; fluency in Somali and English.
