Production Supervisor
Job Description
Oversee, train, and manage machine operators and production workers on the molding floor within a plastic manufacturing environment. Coordinate daily manufacturing runs across extrusion, injection, or blow molding lines to ensure strict adherence to delivery schedules and production targets. Monitor machine cycle times, raw material usage, and processing parameters to maximize operational efficiency while minimizing plastic scrap and waste. Conduct regular audits on finished products to enforce zero-defect quality standards and uphold workplace safety regulations. Identify and resolve molding defects such as flashing and warping, and coordinate with the maintenance team to address machine downtime issues. Maintain accurate daily production logs, raw material usage records, and yield reports to support data-driven decision-making and compliance reporting.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Polymer/Plastics Engineering (or an equivalent technical field). - 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience specifically within a plastic manufacturing environment (injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding). Strong understanding of plastic materials, mold setups, machine calibration, and processing parameters. - Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to solving production floor issues.
