Senior Inspector (Drilling)

The Senior Inspector (Drilling) is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with drilling operations and ground water extraction activities within Makueni County. Key duties include inspecting drilling equipment and operations to ensure adherence to safety and technical standards, verifying that drilling activities comply with environmental and regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate records of inspections and findings. The role involves collaborating with county authorities, contractors, and technical teams to address drilling-related challenges, providing recommendations for improvements, and ensuring that all drilling projects meet the county's development and sustainability goals. The inspector will also play a critical role in training and guiding junior staff and contractors on proper drilling practices and safety protocols.

Kenyan citizenship; Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C or equivalent; Diploma in Drilling or Ground Water Technology from the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) or an equivalent qualification; demonstrated mechanical understanding of drilling equipment and operations; minimum of 3 years of working experience in a relevant reputable institution or company; ability to interpret technical drawings and reports; strong communication and teamwork skills; familiarity with Kenyan drilling regulations and environmental laws.
