The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for goods, services, and works in accordance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPDA) and KRA policies. Primary duties include sourcing suppliers, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of procured items. The officer will work closely with department heads to identify procurement needs, prepare tender documents, and monitor contract performance. Additionally, the role involves maintaining procurement records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and reporting on procurement activities to senior management. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CPSP-K) is an added advantage; Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management; Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations and procedures; Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite; Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills; Membership in a relevant professional body is desirable.
