This internship opportunity at World Vision involves supporting critical finance functions within a global humanitarian organization with 75 years of experience in poverty alleviation and child welfare. The role focuses on accounts payable processing, including monitoring and processing invoices, reviewing pending purchase orders quarterly, and preparing monthly creditor reconciliations. The intern will also manage cash/advance settlements, ensure proper account allocation for balance sheet accounts, and handle corporate credit card processes including expense reporting and general ledger reconciliation. Additional responsibilities include document management and archiving, budgeting support for operational costs, participation in financial review meetings, and administrative support for events and facilities management. The position offers hands-on experience in financial operations within a faith-based, child-focused organization operating in nearly 100 countries worldwide.
Requirements
A degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent professional qualification in accounting; at least knowledge in CPA or ACCA level 2; good communication and writing skills in English; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with minimum supervision; computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, and other accounting software; Christ-centred life and work, personal integrity, and trustworthiness; humanitarian diplomacy capabilities.
