Trade Development Representative
Job Description
This role focuses on conducting channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and improve turnaround on SIMs and Float while ensuring visibility and merchandising compliance at point of purchase for SSOs (Selling Service Outlets) and T-Kash agents. The position involves identifying and recruiting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores as agents, visiting SSOs and agents regularly using agreed route plans (beat plans), and providing requisite transaction tools to agents and SSOs. Responsibilities include training SSOs and T-Kash agents on processes, conducting AML (Anti-Money Laundering) training and testing, enforcing the 1.5x stock rule for agents, ensuring SSOs maintain adequate stock of SIMs for new registrations and activations, and developing and maintaining merchandising standards by availing merchandising materials at SSO and agent outlets. The role requires a strong customer focus, influencing and negotiation skills, networking and partnership-building abilities, and analytical thinking.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; At least 1 year of experience in sales and distribution roles within FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or telecommunications sectors; Competencies in customer focus, influencing and negotiation skills, networking and building partnerships, and analytical thinking
