Tax Management Accountant

Lemala Camps & Lodges is seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join its Finance team in Arusha. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will support financial and management reporting, tax compliance, statutory audits, and provide accurate financial information to support business decision-making. The role involves preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports, managing statutory and tax audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, monitoring tax matters including VAT reconciliations and accruals, and preparing financial analyses and ad hoc reports for management. The position also requires maintaining accurate financial records, supporting continuous process improvement, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in accounting and finance who wish to contribute to one of East Africa's leading luxury safari companies.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA qualification is highly desirable; Minimum four (4) years' accounting experience (tourism industry experience is an advantage); Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting principles; Experience with statutory audits and accounting software; Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
