Accountant/Bookkeeper

Job Description

Our client, a growing retail and fashion brand, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage financial records, inventory reconciliation, and stock coordination. This critical role involves maintaining accurate financial reports, ensuring stock integrity, and supporting business operations with efficient accounting practices. Key Responsibilities - Record and categorize all purchases in the accounting system, maintaining proper financial documentation. - Perform monthly bank, M-PESA, and stock reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in financial and inventory records. - Monitor stock levels and coordinate reordering for finished items, fabrics, and trims. - Prepare and process transfer orders for stock distribution, ensuring accuracy in system records. - Work closely with a third-party accounting firm to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting and management accounts. - Oversee the Stock Controller to ensure efficient stock management and report performance to the COO. - Handle customer orders, ensuring payments are processed and deliveries are fulfilled. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution. - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in retail or inventory management. - Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar). - Strong understanding of inventory management and stock reconciliation. - Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under minimal supervision. - Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Requirements
