Senior Manager, Strategic Finance (Remote)

This high-leverage role partners directly with the Chief Financial Officer and senior leadership to elevate financial decision-making across GiveDirectly. The position involves owning global budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, translating organizational priorities into financial plans, and improving visibility into financial performance and tradeoffs. Responsibilities include building smarter strategic finance systems and workflows to reduce manual work, conducting ad hoc financial analytics across Programs, Growth, Product, and Shared Services, and supporting cross-functional initiatives such as cost-efficiency efforts and scenario planning. The role also involves acting as a trusted partner to leadership by identifying and answering high-impact financial questions. Success is measured by improved forecasting accuracy, clearer financial planning processes, and the successful delivery of multiple cross-functional finance and strategic analyses. The position offers significant ownership and autonomy, with opportunities to expand scope and leadership as GiveDirectly grows.

5–8 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or similarly rigorous environment; strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making; excellent communication skills for influencing senior stakeholders; proficiency in spreadsheets and dashboards; interest in AI and automation; high ownership and responsibility for outcomes; intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity; ability to design efficient processes and workflows; motivated by the impact of financial decisions on poverty alleviation
