Engagement and Events Lead
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engagement and Events Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing engaging events that align with our organizational goals and mission. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for creating memorable experiences and fostering community engagement. Key Responsibilities: - **Event Strategy and Planning:** Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy to enhance brand visibility, community engagement, and stakeholder participation. Identify target audiences and tailor events to meet their needs. - **Event Execution:** Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of events, including logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and post-event evaluation. Ensure events run smoothly and meet set objectives. - **Stakeholder Engagement:** Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, sponsors, and community leaders. Act as a liaison between JA Uganda Alum and event participants. - **Community Outreach:** Lead initiatives to engage the community through events, workshops, and outreach programs. Promote JA Uganda Alum’s mission and values through impactful interactions. - **Team Leadership:** Supervise and mentor a team of event coordinators and volunteers. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. - **Budget Management:** Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and resource allocation. Monitor expenditures and report on financial performance. - **Marketing and Promotion:** Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns for events. Utilize digital and traditional channels to maximize event attendance and engagement. - **Innovation and Trends:** Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management. Introduce innovative ideas to enhance event experiences and outcomes. - **Reporting and Analysis:** Prepare detailed reports on event performance, including attendance, feedback, and ROI. Use data to inform future event strategies. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, with a proven track record of organizing successful events. - Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. - Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting. - Experience in stakeholder management and community engagement. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Proficiency in event management software and tools (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent, or similar platforms). - Passion for JA Uganda Alum’s mission and values.
Requirements
