Economist - Partnerships Expert (East and Southern Africa)
Job Description
The Economist/Partnerships Expert will consolidate the company’s partnerships with countries, international financial organizations, and institutions through financing projects in the public sector and technical assistance operations. Key responsibilities include establishing contacts with beneficiary countries in the West and Central African region, evaluating economic situations and needs of recipient countries, preparing special studies on promising economic sectors, coordinating with the head of the unit on studies and reports, conducting financial analysis and feasibility assessments, preparing and updating memoranda of cooperation with African countries, and following up on economic indicators from global financial institutions. The role also involves participating in evaluation missions, supervising feasibility studies, reviewing loan disbursement requests, organizing events and seminars on Arab and African development affairs, and introducing Arab products to encourage trade exchange. Additionally, the incumbent will assist in developing new operations, reviewing financing requests, participating in analysis and evaluation of operations, and providing information to competent authorities within the company.
Requirements
University degree in Economics or equivalent; Professional certificate in project management, evaluation, economic feasibility, or equivalent is preferred; Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in similar international institutions; Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory; Fluency in French is a plus; Proficiency in the use of technical tools (specific tools not mentioned in the text); Knowledge of laws, regulations, and legislation relating to job functions; Ability to comply with company rules and methods of work.
