Senior HR Manager NGO Job

Precision Development (PxD) is seeking a Senior HR Manager to oversee employee relations, people development, and safeguarding for a globally dispersed workforce of approximately 100 people. This hands-on role involves managing end-to-end employee relations casework, providing coaching and mentoring to line managers and staff—particularly in remote contexts—designing manager development programs, and driving PxD’s safeguarding agenda. The role requires close collaboration with the COO on people strategy, organizational change, and funder reporting. Responsibilities include handling sensitive ER cases with discretion, identifying talent development needs, maintaining and evolving safeguarding policies, serving as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, and embedding safeguarding into program design and partner engagements. The position demands deep HR expertise, independence, and the ability to operate effectively across multicultural and geographically dispersed teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred; Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3-5 years in a senior HR or HR Business Partner role; Experience managing employee relations cases, performance management, and organizational change; Strong coaching and mentoring skills, particularly for remote teams; Deep knowledge of safeguarding frameworks, PSEAH (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment), and duty of care obligations; Familiarity with funder reporting requirements and sector best practices; Ability to design and deliver tailored learning and development programs; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Experience working in multicultural and dispersed teams; Proficiency in HRIS and relevant software tools; Certification in HR (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
