Relationship Manager
Job Description
Drive asset, liability, and profitability growth within the Commercial Banking portfolio by acquiring new commercial clients and offering tailored financial solutions. Responsible for managing credit risk to minimize non-performing loans (NPLs). Identify and onboard high-value commercial clients to expand the bank’s portfolio within the region. Drive revenue, asset growth, and cost-effective liability acquisition through lending, trade finance, deposits, and cash management. Build and maintain long-term corporate relationships through frequent site visits and structured engagement. Track portfolio performance to ensure high asset quality, manage operational risks, and maintain regulatory compliance including KYC/AML/CTF protocols. Reports to the Senior Manager, Commercial Banking.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields; Master’s, CFA, ACCA, or CPA is an added advantage; 3 to 5 years of proven relationship management experience in commercial or corporate banking; Strong credit analysis and financial statement evaluation skills; In-depth knowledge of trade finance, working capital, and cash management; Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills; Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili; Ability to travel frequently to meet business goals.
