Job Description
The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising the daily operations of the security company. The role ensures that security personnel are effectively deployed, company policies are followed, client expectations are met, and operational standards comply with legal and industry requirements. Key responsibilities include assisting in the planning and oversight of daily operations, coordinating the deployment and scheduling of security personnel to ensure adequate staffing at all client sites, and monitoring the performance of security officers through regular site visits and inspections. The role also involves ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, security regulations, and health and safety standards. Additionally, the Assistant Operations Manager supports the recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management of security personnel, builds and maintains positive relationships with clients by addressing concerns, and ensures high-quality service delivery. The position requires responding to operational issues, emergencies, and security incidents, coordinating corrective actions, and investigating incidents to prepare accurate operational and incident reports. The role also includes monitoring staff attendance, leave, overtime, and workforce utilization, overseeing the proper use and maintenance of security equipment, uniforms, vehicles, and communication devices, and identifying operational risks to recommend improvements for enhanced service quality and efficiency. The Assistant Operations Manager acts on behalf of the Operations Manager when delegated to ensure continuity of operations and assists in preparing operational reports, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role; Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Knowledge of security regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices; Experience in recruitment, training, and performance management of personnel; Ability to analyze operational data and prepare reports; Proficiency in using security management software and tools; Valid certifications in security management (e.g., Certified Protection Professional) are a plus; Fluency in English; Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
