Affordable Devices and Internet Associate

Coordinate internet connectivity, digital devices, and assistive technologies for Ugandan educational institutions. Primary responsibilities include managing affordable and reliable internet connectivity across 10 target TVETs (Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions) following a phased bandwidth-capacity scheme. Support the distribution of assistive technologies and provide training for instructors working with learners with disabilities. Develop and implement agreements, frameworks, and quality-management plans for both connectivity and device delivery initiatives. Establish and maintain strong relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), the Device Implementing Partner, schools, and other key stakeholders. Ensure strict compliance with data privacy standards aligned with GDPR and uphold child protection and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) safeguarding protocols. Conduct regular monitoring visits, support supervision, and prepare detailed field and progress reports to track project implementation and impact.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in ICT or education sectors; strong understanding of internet connectivity solutions and assistive technologies; experience in stakeholder management and partnership development; knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR) and child/PWD safeguarding standards; excellent communication and reporting skills; proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
