Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Mantis Epic Hotel and Suites in Kigali, Rwanda. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all mechanical systems within the hotel, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance. This role requires a proactive approach to preventative maintenance to ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely. The technician will work closely with the engineering and housekeeping departments to address any mechanical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring guest comfort. Additionally, the technician will be expected to perform routine inspections, conduct repairs, and maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, HVAC systems, and plumbing; Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety protocols; Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics; Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment; Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Kigali; Excellent communication skills in English; Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
