Agri Finance Specialist

Agri-Finance Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing digital lending products tailored to the agricultural sector. The role involves collaborating with financial institutions, fintechs, and other stakeholders to design innovative loan products that enhance financial inclusion for farmers. Key responsibilities include conducting market research to identify financial needs within the agricultural value chain, structuring loan products that mitigate risks associated with farming cycles, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of these products into existing digital platforms. The specialist will also monitor loan performance, analyze repayment trends, and provide recommendations to improve product offerings. Additionally, the role requires engagement with agricultural cooperatives, input suppliers, and agribusinesses to foster partnerships that drive adoption of digital financial services in rural areas. This position plays a critical role in Vodafone's mission to leverage technology for social and economic impact in underserved communities.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Agriculture Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus; Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural finance, digital lending, or fintech; Strong understanding of agricultural value chains and financial inclusion strategies; Experience in product development and risk assessment for agricultural loans; Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools; Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; Fluency in English (Swahili is an advantage); Knowledge of Tanzanian agricultural sector and regulatory frameworks is preferred.
