Loan Recovery Officer

The Loan Recovery Officer is responsible for managing the repossession and disposal process of assets from defaulted loans. This role involves coordinating with legal teams to ensure timely issuance of Letters of Demand and Repossession Notices. You will work closely with repossession agencies and asset resale channels to facilitate the recovery and disposal of repossessed assets in accordance with company policies and established procedures. The position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks while maintaining professional communication with clients throughout the recovery process.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; At least 2 years of experience in loan recovery, collections, or a similar role within the financial sector; Strong understanding of debt recovery laws and procedures; Excellent negotiation and communication skills; Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with loan management software; Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Fluency in English and Swahili (written and verbal); Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned regions.
