Rwanda Driver (Fixed-Term)
Job Description
Seeking a professional driver to safely transport staff and materials across Rwanda. The role involves transporting staff to meetings, field visits, and other work-related activities, delivering equipment and supplies to assigned locations on time, and maintaining company vehicles in clean, safe, and working condition. Responsibilities include planning daily vehicle movements, coordinating with staff for timely pickups and deliveries, performing routine vehicle inspections, keeping accurate records of vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and maintenance documentation, and reporting accidents or incidents according to company procedures. The driver will represent the organization professionally, safeguard company vehicles and equipment, and support other transport-related duties as assigned. The position offers career growth opportunities, including weekly check-ins with the manager, access to mentorship and training programs, and regular performance feedback.
Requirements
A valid Rwanda driver’s license (Category B and D); at least 3 years of experience in the same capacity within a fast-paced environment; good knowledge of Rwanda’s road network and traffic regulations; safe driving record and commitment to road safety; basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to identify mechanical issues; ability to keep accurate vehicle maintenance, fuel records, and basic computer skills; willingness to travel regularly and work in different locations across Rwanda; ability to use Google Workspace (Google Sheet & Google Form, etc); fluent in Kinyarwanda; ability to speak and write in English.
