Health Specialist
Job Description
The Health Specialist will play a critical role in supporting Suyana Foundation's health-related initiatives in Rwanda, focusing on community health, health promotion, maternal and child health, nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), preventive behaviors, referral linkages, and household resilience. The role involves collaborating with local partners to design, implement, and monitor integrated development programs that address health disparities and promote sustainable community empowerment. The specialist will contribute to strengthening Suyana's technical support capacity and program development, ensuring alignment with the foundation's holistic approach to long-term impact. This position requires a deep understanding of public health principles, strong partnership-building skills, and the ability to work in cross-cultural environments.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of professional experience in health program implementation, preferably in community health, maternal and child health, or WASH sectors; demonstrated experience in program monitoring and evaluation; strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency in English and Kinyarwanda (French is a plus); ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams; experience with local and international NGOs or development organizations is highly desirable.
