AQA Officer – Strategic Management
Job Description
To support and enhance the quality of academic programs and services by ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities - Assisting in monitoring and evaluating academic programs and courses to ensure they meet institutional quality standards. - Supporting the AQA Manager in conducting regular reviews of academic processes and outcomes - Analysing data related to student performance, feedback, and academic quality. - Ensuring academic programs and courses are in compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements. - Assisting in preparing documentation for accreditation processes and quality audits. - Ensuring academic programs and courses are in compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements. - Assisting in preparing documentation for accreditation processes and quality audits. - Providing support to academic staff on quality assurance matters, including training on best practices for assessments and course delivery. - Preparing and maintaining records of quality assurance activities, including meeting notes, reports, and audit results - Organising meetings or workshops to engage academic staff in discussions about quality assurance processes. - Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in the detailed job description.
Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education Management, Curriculum Development, Total Quality Management, Management Science, Operations Management or a relevant field from an accredited University; A Master’s degree in the listed fields will be an added advantage; A professional qualification or other qualification in Quality Management; At least 3 years of experience in teaching, administration of academics or student customer service; Membership in a relevant and recognised professional body; Good understanding of the Universities Act, CUE standards and guidelines, TIVETA and other relevant regulatory body standards and guidelines; Familiarity with the development, implementation and management of Curriculum from Diploma to PhD Level; An understanding of the Learning Outcomes (LO) and Competence-Based (CBC) approaches to teaching and learning; Familiarity with Pedagogical and andragogical Approaches and the requisite Monitoring and Evaluation; Working Knowledge of online and face-to-face Teaching and Examination systems and familiarity with Teaching Taxonomies and rubric-building; Registered or Registrable for PhD
