Job Description

The Country Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations within Sudan, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and international accounting standards. Key responsibilities include managing the country’s financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes; providing strategic financial advice to senior management; and ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. The role involves coordinating with field teams to monitor expenditures, managing donor reporting requirements, and implementing robust internal controls to safeguard assets. Additionally, the position requires close collaboration with headquarters to align financial strategies with organizational goals and to ensure adherence to donor regulations and audit requirements.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the humanitarian or NGO sector; professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is highly desirable; strong proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar); excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills; experience working in complex, high-risk environments; fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
