Reception English Teacher

Lead instruction in English for a reception-level class, integrating subjects such as mathematics, science, social studies, religion, creative arts, and physical education. Collaborate with the teaching team in all aspects of classroom life, including housekeeping, diapering, toilet training, meal service, and record-keeping. Prepare and implement daily lesson plans and support the development of instructional materials aligned with the school’s curriculum. Facilitate small group and whole class learning activities, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and inclusive. Assume full classroom leadership when required, maintaining structure and a supportive atmosphere. Monitor and document student progress through anecdotal records, assessments, and portfolios.

A Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Fluent English speaker, with strong verbal and written communication skills; Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in early childhood settings, preferably in an English-medium school; Familiarity with play-based, child-centered, or Montessori-style learning approaches is an added advantage; Passionate about early childhood development and education; Kind, patient, and nurturing personality; Organised and detail oriented; Creative thinker who can make learning engaging and fun; Flexible and adaptable to changing classroom needs; A strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
