Registered Nurse Volunteers (5 Fresher Jobs)

CoRSU Hospital is seeking 5 Registered Nurse Volunteers to support its specialized rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in Uganda. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical needs, including post-surgical rehabilitation, pediatric care, and disability management. Volunteers will work under the supervision of senior nursing staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical doctors. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient progress, documenting care plans, assisting with therapeutic exercises, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. The position offers hands-on experience in a unique healthcare setting focused on disability rehabilitation, with opportunities to contribute to community outreach programs and health education initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; valid nursing license or registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council; minimum of 6 months clinical nursing experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills; compassion and empathy for patients with disabilities; ability to work in a team and under pressure; proficiency in English (Swahili is an advantage); basic computer skills; willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
