Job Description
DFCU Bank is seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Business Partner to join our Business Solutions and Marketing team. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, providing insights, and supporting strategic decision-making across the bank’s business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, business partnering, and a passion for driving growth through innovative financial solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. **Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis:** - Partner with business leaders to develop and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. - Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize business performance and drive revenue growth. - Conduct variance analysis and performance reviews to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. 2. **Financial Reporting and Compliance:** - Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. - Collaborate with finance teams to prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership. - Support audit processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. 3. **Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management:** - Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial expertise and guidance on key initiatives. - Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between finance, marketing, business solutions, and other departments. - Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their financial needs and deliver tailored solutions. 4. **Performance Monitoring and KPI Tracking:** - Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and financial health. - Provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability. - Support the implementation of performance improvement initiatives. 5. **Risk Management and Control:** - Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard the bank’s assets. - Ensure adherence to risk management policies and procedures. - Support the development of risk-adjusted financial plans. 6. **Innovation and Digital Transformation:** - Drive the adoption of financial technologies and digital tools to enhance financial processes and decision-making. - Support the implementation of data-driven solutions for business insights and performance tracking. - Collaborate with IT and business teams to leverage technology for financial innovation. 7. **Team Leadership and Development:** - Mentor and develop finance team members to build a high-performing finance function. - Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team. 8. **Market and Competitive Analysis:** - Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. - Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the bank’s market position and competitiveness. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA is highly desirable. - Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, business partnering, or financial planning and analysis, preferably in the banking or financial services sector. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. - Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, Power BI). - Experience in digital finance, data analytics, or financial technology is a plus. - Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive change and innovation. - Strong ethical standards and commitment to compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements
