Accounting Officer

The Sisu Hotel Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accounting Officer to join its finance team. This role is ideal for an individual with strong accounting knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to support daily financial operations within the hotel. The Accounting Officer will maintain accurate records, process transactions, and ensure proper financial controls. Responsibilities include maintaining daily accounting records and financial transactions, preparing payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and other financial documents, performing daily cash, bank, and account reconciliations, monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable records, following up on outstanding customer balances to support timely collections, processing supplier payments while maintaining proper supplier records, assisting in payroll preparation and statutory compliance requirements, supporting stock reconciliation and cost control processes, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting activities. The role also involves maintaining proper filing and organization of accounting documents and working closely with management to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures. The work environment is within a cozy hotel setting at The Sisu Hotel, located at Makutano - Kyumbi Junction along Mombasa Road, offering a blend of modern amenities and lush greenery.

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA Part II or above is an added advantage. Proven experience in accounting or finance operations, preferably in hospitality. Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
