Project Coordinator
Job Description
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda’s projects across Nyamagabe, Huye, and Musanze Districts. This role involves coordinating project activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and monitoring progress to achieve set deliverables. The coordinator will work closely with local communities, government agencies, and partner organizations to implement sustainable development initiatives focused on child welfare and family strengthening. Key responsibilities include planning project timelines, allocating resources, conducting stakeholder meetings, and preparing progress reports for donors and senior management. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work in challenging environments while maintaining high ethical standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or management within an NGO or development sector; demonstrated experience in community-based project implementation; strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; experience with donor reporting and compliance; familiarity with Rwanda’s social development sector is an asset.
