Accounts Payable

Lemala Camps & Lodges is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payable Accountant to join its Finance team in Arusha. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will manage supplier payments, reconciliations, and accounts payable processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. Key responsibilities include processing supplier and statutory payments accurately and on time, reconciling supplier accounts, ledgers, and intercompany balances, preparing supplier ageing reports, reviewing supplier invoices and supporting documentation, reconciling supplier clearing accounts, and processing VAT adjustments. The role also involves supporting month-end and year-end reporting, assisting with statutory and tax audits, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to resolve queries promptly. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to one of East Africa's leading luxury safari companies, known for its immersive wildlife experiences across Tanzania's prime safari regions and Uganda.

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite. Knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations and financial compliance is an advantage.
