Job Description
The Senior Logistics Associate will be responsible for managing and coordinating logistics operations in Juba, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of food and non-food items to support WFP’s humanitarian and development programs. Key responsibilities include overseeing warehouse operations, coordinating transportation, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with logistics policies and procedures. The role involves close collaboration with procurement teams, field offices, and external partners to optimize supply chain efficiency. The position requires adherence to WFP’s safety and security protocols, including risk assessment and mitigation measures for logistics operations in a challenging environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain management; strong knowledge of logistics software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle); proficiency in English (written and verbal); ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; experience in humanitarian or development logistics is highly desirable; familiarity with South Sudan’s logistics landscape is an asset.
