Partnerships Specialist

The Partnerships Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with governments, NGOs, private sector entities, and other stakeholders to advance UNICEF's mission in promoting the rights and well-being of children. Key responsibilities include identifying partnership opportunities, negotiating agreements, and ensuring alignment with UNICEF's strategic priorities. The role involves conducting needs assessments, developing partnership proposals, and managing relationships to maximize impact. The Specialist will also monitor and report on partnership performance, ensuring compliance with UNICEF policies and procedures. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including program, finance, and legal units, is essential to achieve shared objectives. The position requires a deep understanding of child rights, development frameworks, and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; minimum 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in partnership development, fundraising, or donor relations; proven track record in designing and managing strategic partnerships; strong negotiation and communication skills; excellent analytical and organizational abilities; proficiency in English (additional UN languages are an asset); experience working in a multicultural environment; familiarity with UNICEF's mandate and child rights issues.
