Job Description
Platinum Credit (U) Ltd is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Manager to oversee and drive the growth of its Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Product portfolio. The Regional Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand the SME product offerings, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives. This role involves leading a team of product managers, analysts, and field officers to deliver innovative financial solutions tailored to the needs of SMEs across the region. The successful candidate will monitor market trends, assess customer needs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Regional Manager will be tasked with building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, regulators, and SME associations, to foster business development and regulatory compliance. The role requires a deep understanding of the SME sector, financial services, and product management, along with a proven track record in driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CFA, ACCA) is an added advantage; Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in SME banking, product management, or a related field; Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams; Proven track record in developing and launching successful SME financial products; Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency in financial modeling, market research, and data analysis tools; Familiarity with Ugandan financial regulations and SME sector dynamics; Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Fluency in English (written and verbal); Knowledge of local languages (e.g., Luganda, Swahili) is a plus.
