Nutritionist

Huruma Maternity and Nursing Home is seeking a qualified Nutritionist to join their team at their licensed level 4 hospital facility in Nairobi. The role involves developing and implementing nutrition plans for patients, ensuring dietary needs are met in accordance with medical guidelines, and providing nutritional counseling to patients and their families. The Nutritionist will work closely with the medical team, including doctors, nurses, and dietitians, to support patient recovery and wellness. Responsibilities include conducting nutritional assessments, monitoring patient progress, educating staff on nutrition best practices, and maintaining accurate records of dietary interventions. The position requires adherence to ethical standards and regulatory compliance with the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI).

Diploma or Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field. Must be fully registered and licensed with the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI) with a current valid practicing license. Two (2) years working experience in a similar position. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
