Job Description

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for patients in critical conditions. Responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, assessing patients' conditions, administering first aid, stabilizing patients for transport, and ensuring safe and timely transfer to medical facilities. The EMT will work closely with healthcare professionals, follow established protocols, and maintain accurate patient care reports. This role requires a high level of physical fitness, the ability to work under pressure, and strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and medical staff. The position may involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Requirements

Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology or related field; Valid EMT certification; Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency medical services; Valid driver’s license with clean record; Ability to lift and carry patients up to 150 lbs; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Fluency in English and Swahili; Willingness to work in high-stress environments.
