Programme Associate

The Programme Associate will provide comprehensive support to the Programme Section in the implementation of UNICEF’s country programme of cooperation. This includes coordinating programme activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s strategic priorities and results frameworks. The role involves liaising with government counterparts, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate programme delivery, organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions, and preparing reports, briefs, and presentations for internal and external audiences. The incumbent will also assist in resource mobilization efforts, donor reporting, and compliance with UNICEF policies and procedures. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Bachelor’s degree in international development, social sciences, public administration, or a related field; a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, or a closely related area; familiarity with UNICEF’s mandate and programming priorities; excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in another UN language (French, Spanish, Arabic) is an asset; strong analytical and organizational abilities; ability to work independently and in a team; experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS) and project management software is desirable.
