Job Description
Ubudasa Sacco is seeking a qualified IT Officer to manage and maintain its hardware and software infrastructure in Bugesera, Rwanda. The role involves overseeing the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer systems, networks, and software applications to ensure seamless operations. The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining the Sacco’s IT systems, including servers, workstations, printers, and networking equipment, while ensuring data security and compliance with organizational policies. Additionally, the role includes providing technical support to staff, training users on new software, and collaborating with management to implement IT upgrades and improvements. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; minimum of 2 years of proven experience in IT support, hardware maintenance, and software management; strong knowledge of networking principles and IT security protocols; proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues; experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and office productivity tools; excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are an added advantage.
