Lecturer: Fashion Design and Textile Technology

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures and practical sessions in Fashion Design and Textile Technology. Key duties include developing and updating course content in line with industry standards, supervising student projects and dissertations, conducting research and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals, and participating in curriculum development initiatives. The role involves mentoring students, assessing their progress through exams and assignments, and providing career guidance. Additionally, the lecturer will collaborate with industry partners to facilitate internships and industrial attachments for students, ensuring alignment with current market demands. Administrative responsibilities include serving on departmental committees, attending faculty meetings, and contributing to the university's strategic goals.

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly preferred; minimum of 3 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution; proven expertise in fashion design and textile technology with strong practical skills; ability to develop and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions; experience in curriculum development and student mentorship; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in relevant software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and CAD for fashion design; commitment to research and publication; willingness to participate in industry collaborations and community engagement activities.
