Lecturer: Engineering

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and evaluating undergraduate and postgraduate students in engineering disciplines. Key duties include setting, moderating, administering, processing, and marking examinations; providing academic advising and mentoring to students; developing teaching and learning materials; and supervising research activities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The role involves developing research proposals for funding, participating in departmental and faculty strategic planning, organizing educational activities, and attending seminars, workshops, and conferences relevant to the field. Additionally, the position requires active participation in administrative, academic, and consultancy activities within the department and broader organizations, as well as contributing to curriculum development and evaluation.

An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant engineering field from an accredited and recognized university; and be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where applicable); OR a Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university (in special cases) with at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research or industry; A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least ten (10) should be from refereed journal papers; Registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable)
